Downtown Beaverton's Only Brewery, Brannon's, Has Closed

Brewpub lasted less than a year. Uptown Market is now Beaverton's only brewery.

Brewing beer in the 'burbs?

Better beware of Beav.

Brannon's, the Tron's "steampunk" brewpub on Cedar Hills Boulevard, closed on Aug. 1, "until further notice," after less than a year in business. WW discovered this while passing by (long story!), and we've so far unable to contact owner Kevin Brannon or his team for confirmation.

But Brannon's had a tough go from the start. Though I liked the pizza, and was impressed by the acumen of its namesake, who previously ran a successful brewery back east, its "slow start" merited a story in The Oregonian back in December.

And so it is again.

Uptown Market, the Garden Home neighborhood pub which is literally feet inside Beaverton city limits, is now the only brewery in the 'Tron.
