Mike Tyson sees green these days, whether that’s from his lucrative payday for the Jake Paul spectacle or from his eponymous brand of cannabis products. The Tyson brand first launched in 2021, immediately grabbing attention for selling ear-shaped gummy candies, an obvious reference to Tyson’s infamous 1997 fight in. which he bit off part of opponent Evander Holyfield’s ear (Holyfield appeared in Tyson’s original ad campaign).
After Tyson 2.0′s deal with national dispensary chain Cannabist ended in 2023, Tyson’s company now works with Arizona-based manufacturer and retailer Desert Fairways and licensing company Carma Hold Co. Should Oregonians choose to pick up any of Tyson’s products, they’ll be consuming locally grown cannabis.
Hotbox Farms, located on the Oregon-Idaho border in Ontario, supplies the marijuana Tyson 2.0′s products need for hyperlocal flavor. A company rep clarified that Hotbox Farms isn’t the only cannabis grower partnered with Tyson, but that Hotbox’s crop will power everything from the brand’s pre-rolled premium joints to gummy edible candies shaped like ears in Oregon.
“It’s been a goal of mine to bring our premium products to Oregon from the beginning,” Tyson said in a press release. “Like me, Oregonians have high standards when it comes to their weed. With a partner like Hotbox who shares our commitment to quality, I’m sure they’ll love what we’re bringing to the table.”
According to the brand’s store locator, Tyson 2.0 products are more readily available in Vancouver, Wash., than Portland but can get scooped locally at AmeriCanna Rx and Hotbox Fremont.
